Brian Satterwhite

Brian Satterwhite is a professional film composer based in Austin, Texas. In the spirit of brevity, this is only a very short example of his work and accomplishments!  Brian holds a degree with dual majors in Film Scoring and Composition from the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts.  Over the years, Brian has written scores for over sixty short and feature films including Twinkle, Twinkle (1999), American Generator (2002), Comfort (2003), Down the Road (2003), Blind (2003), Making the Modern (2003), Samuel DeMango (2003), Young Mutt (2005), Something’s in the Air (2005), Harmony in the Hills (2005), Mr. Hell (2005), and the award-winning IMAX™ film Ride Around the World.  Brian’s accolades include four Gold Medals for Excellence and a Silver Medal from the Park City Film Music Festival, a Bronze Telly Award for his score for Making the Modern (2003), and in 2001 Brian was a Finalist in the Young Film Composers Competition sponsored by Turner Classic Movies. Brian is the producer and host of the Austin film music radio program “Film Score Focus” and frequently gives lectures and workshops on film scoring around Texas.  Brian also teaches several courses on film music in the Austin area including his popular UT Informal Classes “Film Music – Listening to Movies” and “Making a Film Score”.
